Are you a dynamic & enthusiastic individual wanting to become an exceptional Sommelier?

Based near Windermere, we're looking for a Sommelier to join the Gilpin Hotel. As a Commis Sommelier, you will be providing direct support to other Sommeliers in the form of mise en place, cellar work, cleaning and care of glassware. There’s also the opportunity to support the senior sommelier on shift with wine and wine pairings.

Day to day during service, you will be serving water, clearing and replacing glassware, serving aperitifs, digestifs and wine when required, and maintaining clean work stations and back-of-house areas. On top of the £10 p/hour you could earn, there is the opportunity to accumulate a bonus.

As part of your development, you’ll also learn the role of Chef de Rang and will have access to our training on Gilpin Academy so you can progress.
