As Senior Chef of Blackwell, you will play an integral role in the daily running of the kitchen. You will maintain excellent standards throughout the kitchen and will oversee the preparation of high-quality food all times.

This role will primarily cover the café’s normal opening hours but you can expect to work occasional late evenings for special events such as weddings and private functions.

The Role:

• Managing the running of the kitchen

• Ensuring high standards in all aspects of food preparation and service are maintained

• Keeping all relevant kitchen legislation documentation up to date

• Maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen

• Provide occasional catering for private functions in the evenings on occasion as part of the wider team across Lakeland Arts sites

• Developing new dishes and menus

• Working successfully as part of an interdepartmental team unit

• Managing stock rotation effectively

• Having responsibility for purchasing and storing food
