The latest acquisition to the Inn Collection Group, The Glenridding Hotel is looking for a skilled Assistant Manager, Uniquely located on the southern shore of Ullswater with spectacular views of Helvellyn this venue is a popular starting point for walkers and climbers.
The existing site – which includes a coffee shop, bar, restaurant and conference facilities will be operating as normal until a refurbishment and remodelling later in the year.
THIS ROLE INCLUDES LIVE IN ACCOMMODATION FOR THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE.

Key Skills and Experience:
Basic plumbing skills (repairing and replacing faulty taps, showers, waste pipes, traps and leaking pipework)
Basic electrical skills (replacing faulty sockets, switches, lighting equipment, tuning TVs, replacing light bulbs, fault finding)
Basic Joinery (replacing faulty handles, hinges, door locks, door closers, ensuring doors and windows open and close smoothly)
Basic Painting (Ensure all walls and ceilings and woodwork throughout are kept freshly painted)
Compliance (ladder checks, emergency light tests, fire alarm tests)
Weekly Utility Readings (Gas, electric, water)
Flexible, can-do approach
THE ROLE:
Daily Boiler checks
Daily electrical checks (distribution boards, visual emergency lights etc)
Interior /external light bulbs
Fire alarm control panels
Inspect and clean out external grease trap
Visual checks on fire extinguishers
Fire doors and closers throughout
Roofs, gutters, drains, handrails, steps, walkways for slips trips &fall hazards
External housekeeping – tables, chairs, ashtrays, empty and remove broken glass
Gardens - cutting grass, pruning, keeping borders tidy etc.
Planned maintenance – interior and external painting, grouting, silicone sealing
Other unplanned repairs
Contractor liaison and engagement
