Are you a dynamic & enthusiastic individual who is an exceptional Sommelier?

Based near Windermere, we're looking for a Head Sommelier to join the Gilpin Hotel.We are looking for an experienced and skilled Sommelier who has a passion for mixology, wine and Champagne. There will be a lot of guest contact, so it's crucial that you love that side of the job!

You will be working with a team of Commis Sommeliers, supporting their development around wine pairings and mise en place, cellar work, cleaning and care of glassware. Looking after stock take, you'll be responsible for ensuring all variances are explained, and breakages and wastage are logged.

You will also work closely with our Executive Head Chef creating suitable wine pairings for our Michelin starred restaurant.

As part of your development, you’ll have access to our training on Gilpin Academy so you can progress.We also have discounted staff meals, discounted rates (Relais Chateaux / Pride of Britain hotels), local gym membership, and the opportunity to work at other R&C Hotels in the future
